Top TEN reasons to go organic

A few years back, when thinking about my family's health and the scariness of all the chemicals we were ingesting, I, like a lot of moms, wanted to do whats best for my family, however, buying organic isn't always the cheapest option available. This is when I came across this article., which Ikeep on my fridge door as a constant reminder,, While I try to buy organically whenever possible, the following produce items I ALWAYS buy organically, in addition to dairy, which I REFUSE to buy unless its organic. Oh,,yeah,,, um,,,, thats another box of worms I dont care to open right now and nor do I care to get on my Vegetarian soapbox today,, so I will leave that topic of conversation alone for another day :) Anyway, I digress

Well, as promised here is the top TEN vegetables and fruits that contain the highest levels of pesticide residues when grown conventionally.
( according to the Environmental Working Group, www.foodnews.org) The numbers represent the test scores ( 100 being the most polluted )
1. Peaches (100)
2. Apples ( 89)
3. Sweet Bell Peppers ( 86)
4. Celery (85)
5. Nectarines( 84)
6. Strawberries( 82)
7. Cherries( 75)
8. Pears( 65)
9. Grapes- Imported( 65)
10. Spinach (60)

Keepin it flesh free,
